The realities of production work

The work is rewarding and demanding.

Live productions do not always follow conventional office hours. Depending on the role, work may include early starts, late-night pack-downs, weekends, travel, physical equipment handling and changing production schedules. Applicants should consider these realities carefully before applying.

Do I need previous concert experience?

Not for every role. Relevant experience is valuable, but practical judgement, dependable communication, careful equipment handling and a genuine willingness to learn can be equally important for entry-level opportunities.

Will I travel?

Travel depends on the role and production schedule. Touring, technical and production roles may involve work outside Mumbai and hours shaped by venue access, soundcheck and load-out requirements.

Is training provided?

Role-specific learning is part of the work. New team members are expected to learn The Backline Company's preparation, safety and documentation standards through supervised practical experience.

What cities do you recruit in?

The Backline Company's warehouse and core operations are based in Mumbai. Some production and touring requirements involve work across India, and each advertised vacancy states its location and working pattern.

Can freelancers apply?

Yes. Freelance technicians, crew and production specialists can introduce themselves through the general application form, including their skills, location, availability and relevant live-production experience.

Are internships available?
