What you'll help create.
The Backline Technician turns an approved rider into an artist-ready stage position. You will prepare complete instrument systems, identify gaps before dispatch, execute safe setup and testing at the venue, support rehearsals and recover the equipment methodically after the performance.
Responsibilities
- Interpret technical riders, stage plots and approved substitutions
- Prepare and test complete drum, keyboard, guitar, bass and monitoring systems
- Confirm that stands, pedals, power supplies, cables and accessories travel with each requirement
- Install equipment around the approved stage plan
- Complete line, power and functional checks before artist arrival
- Support soundcheck, rehearsals and agreed show-day requirements
- Dismantle, account for and recover equipment after the performance
- Report technical faults and production notes to the warehouse team

Qualifications
- Practical experience with musical instruments, live sound, stage work or professional backline
- Working knowledge of safe stage setup, signal flow and equipment connections
- Ability to read technical riders and communicate calmly with artists and production teams
- Readiness for travel, late load-outs and changing venue schedules

- Direct experience across concerts, festivals, tours and specialist production environments
- Practical exposure to professional drum kits, keyboards, amplification, instruments and monitoring systems
- Learning alongside experienced technicians through preparation, soundcheck and load-out
- Opportunities to develop rider-review, troubleshooting and multi-city production experience
