Meinl Byzance Traditional Cymbal Rental for Live Performance
Professional Cymbals
Meinl Byzance Traditional cymbals are B20 bronze, hand-hammered instruments with a musical balance of warmth, complexity and projection. The final rental requirement is defined by the requested hi-hat, crash, ride and effects sizes rather than by the series name alone.
Available subject to production date, location, rider requirements and prior reservation.
Artist Perspective
Why professionals request this model
Professionals request Byzance Traditional for its hand-hammered B20 response, darker harmonic complexity and the way individual sizes open under the stick. Drummer preference, cymbal weight and the balance between definition and wash are the reasons to confirm the exact set.
Model Characteristics
How it differs and how it can be configured
Byzance Traditional sits apart from brighter, more uniformly voiced cymbal ranges through its hand-hammered character and broader tonal complexity. Thin, medium and heavy models within the family still differ materially in attack, sustain and projection.
Production Fit
Where it works best
Well suited to concert, touring, broadcast and studio-style live productions where the drummer wants expressive dynamics and complex cymbal colour without losing definition in the mix.
Preparation
Specific preparation checks
Each cymbal is checked for edge and bell condition, cracks, keyholing and mounting wear. Requested sizes and weights are assembled with the correct sleeves, felts, washers and stands, then packed as one approved set.
Rider Review
Likely rider alternatives
Alternatives should match the requested sizes, weights, B20 character, projection and tonal darkness. A brighter or substantially drier family should be proposed only with drummer approval.
