The Backline Company carries selected Music Man equipment in its professional rental inventory. Every item is inspected, prepared and supported for concerts, festivals, corporate events, television productions and touring requirements across India.

The Backline Company’s Music Man rental inventory centres on StingRay Special four-string and five-string basses. They serve different player ranges while retaining the familiar StingRay role requested for concert, touring, festival, broadcast and recording backline.

A Music Man request is usually more specific than a request for a generic bass guitar. The production team must confirm whether the player requires four or five strings, the preferred tuning, playing position, strap arrangement and the signal path into the prepared bass system. The five-string instrument supports parts that require an extended lower range; the four-string remains the familiar choice where the repertoire and artist preference call for it. Neither should be substituted for the other without approval. We prepare the selected StingRay as part of the complete bass position, considering the amplifier or DI path, stage monitoring, stand placement and changeover plan rather than treating the instrument as an isolated rental item.

The case, stand, strap requirement and approved backup plan are confirmed with the production so the bass arrives as a stage-ready position.
